Most of the home building centers have hoists or conveyors to carry your roofing materials up for you. These machines make loading your roof quick and saves yourself a lot of time and energy. Most building suppliers will charge for the use of their equipment but trust me, it is well worth the minor cost!
Once your shingles are up on your roof, stack the bundles in a way that distributes the weight load evenly on your roof like the picture below. You will also want to make sure to place them in a non traffic area (out of the way) until needed. The best place I think you can stack your materials is at the ridge of your roof as that is the last area that will be shingled. It is also easier to carry the bundles down than up when needed.
When your stacking your bundles, place a bundle or two length wise on your roof and lay three bundles perpendicular as pictured above. This will distribute the entire weight of stack evenly across your roof. You then can stack multiple layers of bundles above the three rows. Your next stack can start 10 ft away from your first bundle stack so when you are loading your roof with the conveyer, keep this in mind where you want to have your stacks.
Another important thing to remember is to not let your stack of shingles to sit in the direct sun for a long period of time or the adhesive strips will melt and glue the shingles together. If needed, cover them with a light colored tarp when your not using the bundles.
